Terms of use and subscription
These terms govern the use of Knobelarena and the “Knobelarena Premium” subscription. The provider is the person named in the imprint.
1. Free use
Knobelarena can be played without an account and without a subscription. We keep a limited number of free play slots; when none is free, you wait a moment until one frees up. An account is free and stores results, streaks and arenas.
2. The subscription
The subscription reserves a play slot of your own from a separate quota that takes nothing from the free slots. It changes nothing about puzzles, times or leaderboards. The “Household” plan covers up to five people whom the subscriber names by email address; each receives their own slot.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are stated on the Premium page and include VAT. Payment is made through our payment provider Stripe with the methods offered there. The first charge happens on conclusion, each further charge at the start of the new term.
4. Term and renewal
The subscription runs for the chosen term (one month or one year) and renews for the same term unless cancelled before.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time to the end of the current term – via the “Cancel contracts here” page (no sign-in) or in the customer portal. We confirm every cancellation by email immediately. The right to extraordinary cancellation for good cause is unaffected. If your account is deleted, the subscription ends with immediate effect.
6. Withdrawal
As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal; the notice is on the order page. Because access starts immediately at your express request and you confirm this when ordering, the right of withdrawal ends once access begins.
7. Changes
Price changes apply to the next term at the earliest and are announced by email at least four weeks in advance; you may then cancel to the end of the term. We do not restrict the scope of free use – daily puzzles, practice, arenas, learning – in favour of the subscription.
8. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. If the service is down for more than 24 consecutive hours, your subscription is extended by the downtime.
9. Law
German law applies. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr); we are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
