What data we process

Account: when you register we store your email address and display name. Sign-in works via magic link; no passwords are stored.

Game results: solved puzzles, times and rankings are linked to your account. As a guest, results stay exclusively in your browser (localStorage); nothing identifiable is created server-side.

Server logs: technical logs contain no content data and no email addresses and are used solely for operations and debugging.

Cookies and local storage

We only set technically necessary cookies: a session cookie after sign-in and a cookie for your language choice (NEXT_LOCALE). Your theme setting (light/dark) lives in localStorage. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.

Email delivery

Sign-in links (magic links) are sent via Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA). Your email address is transmitted to this provider for this purpose only. Transfers to the USA are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Resend's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Sign in with Google

As an alternative to the magic link, you can sign in with your Google account. Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) processes that sign-in; we receive your email address, name and profile picture from Google to create your account or match it to an existing one. This is optional — signing in via the email link remains available. Transfers to the USA are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You can permanently delete your account yourself in your profile at any time — this removes all associated data. For requests, contact freelancer@krieft.de.
