What you cannot lose here
Most games hold on to you by being able to take something away. We decided against that — and every point below can be checked by playing.
What holds here
- Your streak survives a missed day. Nothing to buy, nothing to hoard, nothing to redeem — it simply holds.
- Taking a break costs you nothing. In games with lasting progress something keeps growing while you are away; only how much is capped. We never take anything back.
- The daily puzzle is free to play, no account needed. An account remembers your results and opens arenas — playing does not require one.
- No ads, no trackers, no trade in your data. And nothing that pushes its way into a puzzle in progress.
- No energy or life bar that has to refill. Nothing on your account gets used up: before every game you need a free slot, never a balance. Practice is unlimited and free, as often as you like.
- Knobelarena is free to play, but not free to run. We keep a limited number of free slots; when none is free, you wait a moment. A subscription reserves a slot of your own – from a separate quota that takes nothing away from the free ones.
- The learning overview shows what is due — not what you missed. A list of pending reviews is an invitation, not a bill.
What you will not find here
Not left out by accident, but deliberately refused. This list is here so that it stands in our way later.
- Timers that stall you in the middle of a game until you wait or pay. A puzzle in progress is never interrupted.
- Loot boxes and gacha pulls. That is gambling under another name, and some of our players are children.
- Random rewards dressed up as generosity. That is the same reinforcement schedule as a loot box, minus the price tag. What you get here is predictable.
- Time-limited events that manufacture pressure. The daily puzzle changes every day — that is the rhythm of the game — but nothing here demands you show up right now or lose something forever.
- Nudges that put your friends under pressure on our behalf. You can see what your arena played — never a prompt to remind someone what they did not.
- Streaks that punish you. A number that drops to zero over one missed day is not encouragement, it is a threat.
